Riley :
Why even mention his former status, he’s a Hero. Nothing else.

A concerned bystander stepped in*** having a criminal history does not define you as a person

i don’t think that saying he’s a criminal is to undermine any of his actions but to prove to those who are past criminals that your past doesn’t define who you are and that you are who you decide to be

Please don't disrespect this hero. People make mistakes, this does not define them. His actions clearly show his character. As a police officer myself, thank you Sir for your selfless actions. You are a hero!

The fact that he was a former criminal has nothing to do with this story. A good smaritian helped and injured officer. Period

A former criminal. Did anyone hear that? He is still the same man and most likely a father. The system just judges and comes up with names to call people. Maybe they wiped his name clean.

I actually like that they mention his past, it shows some criminals can change and they don’t always hate cops
