@joshuadent_: Today was my work nephew’s last day with me for the summer — school starts back tomorrow. He’s a senior this year, and let’s just say… he’s not too excited about going back. He’s asked me plenty of times, “Why should I go back when I already know what I want to do with my life?” And I told him straight: Just because you work in the trades doesn’t mean you’re a dummy or that you don’t need to finish high school. Being in the trades is not a last resort — it’s a skill, a career, and something you have to build with knowledge, experience, and safety in mind. The trades will always be here, but finishing school sets the foundation for everything else.
