As much as I dislike this, I'm starting to think that restaurants with vegan menus is a better approach than vegan only places. We want more people to see that vegan food is as good and even better than the "normal" food and that won't happen at vegan only restaurants. Meat eaters won't just walk into a vegan spot.

Vegan restaurants in NYC area have been closing rapidly, from high end to quick service. A lot of my favs are gone.

@PlantBasedSue: So disappointing. If I’m paying g $350 for a plant based meal I dont want to see/smell lavender duck at the next table. If it is Wendy’s and I have to have a potato and side salad so be it, but not for a Michelin restaurant

They were never a vegan restaurant they just used the plant based menu as a media stunt, they’ve had a back room that served meat , leather checkbooks, dairy in their coffee drink, etc. they never cared for their own concept just saw it as a money maker

As a vegan of 23 years who’s seen the rise and fall of many restaurants, I’d rather go to a restaurant that has a regular menu AND a plant based menu if it means we get a restaurant that has a plant based menu at all. Our choices are so limited now and vegan restaurants are closing left and right. If this move means they get to stay open & keep serving vegan clients I’m fine with that personally.

Also made a video about this. Also, didnt appreciate the ways that they weapanized social justice language like "choice" and "inclusivity" in their "reasoning" to contribute to animal abuse. BOYCOTT!

I will settle for a restaurant that has vegan options (as sadly that is most I can access where I live) but won't go to a place that backslides from plantbased/vegan to animal based dishes. At that point I am too much involved in incentivizing a trajectory in the wrong direction.

I’m so so disappointed I literally went there for the first time as vegan EMP this past Friday and it was just as magical and incredible as you think. I’m sure it’s all about money which is sad but reality
