i'm certainly not very educated on this, but can you explain why we don't have any higher income tax brackets in ND? from what i've seen, it is 2.5% for 240k+/yr, while in montana, it is 5.9% for 20k+/yr. why is ours so much lower? why do we choose to do this, while we propose (recent example) increasing minot sales tax to make a new rec center at the maysa? i'm sure i just don't know the context of these decisions, but it seems a little illogical to me that we're more ready to integrate a sales tax (disproportionately hurting lower income individuals) than to add a higher tax on the wealthy.
