@realmofreveria: Those big bulbous things are called The Audience, they judge you for your talent & skill, your performance. If you disappoint it, you may just end up getting erased from existence. If you impress it, it’ll give you grand gifts. In this world - Sirkus - you are required to perform 24/7, and Performers - the species/people that live there - are created (by the audience itself) to do just that. If they fail to serve their purpose, they are removed and recreated. Things to know about the performer-species: - they don’t need to eat or sleep or manage basic necessities - they earn their “breaks” through tickets 🎟️, which can only be earned through the Audience’s approval, and they usually last for only 5-30 minutes, most common being 5 Smiles?
