just asked my sister and she said it's probably because they used the mesh for the model from the other mods for that. for the specific one you showed us she's not too sure but she's guessing it's for the model under the clothes. in other words it's pretty much built overtop of all of that and the other mods are just the framing/canvas

simple answer... the mod you want needs something from that mod to work properly. there's a good chance that the "needed mod" changes Laura's body in ways that allow the new skin you want to sit well on it.

Sometimes you dont. Make sure its a requirement for the mod to work or if it’s just a mod that can be optionally paired with the outfit mod

The outfit is using the body mesh and skin textures from those mods. Without it, the clothes won't fit properly and your skin will be invisible (if you don't crash immediately)
