A family friend owns a carpet cleaning business and he told me to never use the carpet cleaner solutions. Use a topical spray in the really dirty areas and some vinegar in the machine. And ALWAYS go over it with just hot water. The solutions actually attract dirt.

I use an enzymatic cleaner in a garden sprayer for pet spots and aside from that, I don’t use product in my steam cleaner. Otherwise it takes like 5-6 passes to try to get the shampoo out 😬

Soap attracts dirt. I only use a 50/50 mix of warm water and peroxide on my furniture and carpets. It takes care of odors and stains without leaving a residue.

I had that machine it works amazing. Paid to have carpet cleaned and was not happy at all. Decided to go over it with mine and it took out all the stains they didn't get out.
