I know that for gen z men, this is exactly what they see happening. I'm a white male lefty, and I definitely hear that rhetoric, although it has calmed down, certainly, but it is certainly there and I don't like it when I see it. It was worse pre-trump, although I do try to avoid those spaces, because I don't want to listen to that c*** so i'm not sure how much of it there is now, but I think there's less because I don't notice it as often anymore.

Not as enemies. But definitely treated with a given amount of reserve until they prove themselves genuine. Can we talk about the non-zero percentage of the Right that views any criticism as a personal death threat? Because people see and hear that shit, too.
