@yellowbellykelly: Peach season isn’t over yet 🗣️ try this Brown Butter Peach Bourbon Smash! 🍑🥃 2 oz brown butter bourbon* 3 slices peach, ripe 2-3 sprigs thyme .75 oz maple syrup or brown sugar syrup .75 oz lemon juice, fresh Method: combine thyme, peaches, and bourbon in a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add in the rest of the ingredients with ice and shake. Strain into a glass over ice (fine strain if you’d prefer no bits in your cocktail- I actually enjoy the little peach bits in this one though!). Garnish with a peach slice, cinnamon, and thyme. *brown butter bourbon: brown 1 stick of butter and let cool. Combine in a jar with 20 oz bourbon and stir or shake. Place lid on jar and let sit at room temp for 2 hrs, shaking every 20 mins or so. Place in freezer overnight. The next day, remove fat from top using a fine mesh strainer and strain with a coffee filter. Store remaining bourbon in fridge and use within 1 week.
