To me, this was a very racist movie they use derogatory terms for a culture. They don’t even understand misrepresenting and degrading it. Seems like that’s the only race that it is tolerated for.

My theory always was that he actually cursed them, and the old guy knew he messed up when he saw the blood. The daughter accidentally named it and finished the curse, too - “murder”. The previous three were “thinner”, “lizard”, and “fester” (presumably, the third was never named)
