another important thing: be picky with what you buy. a lot of ppl are in the "haul" mindset but that's really not helpful. it's way easier to drop hundreds on a piece when you know you're getting one quality thing instead of spending all that money on a bunch of cheap pieces you won't care about next month

I loveeee stalking my clothes just bought a missoni clutch I saw in Italy last summer for 700 euro and bought it a few weeks ago on Poshmark for 100$ only took a year but it made it that much worth it knowing I couldn’t stop thinking ab it for a year and hunted for it for a year ✨

If you have your basics covered from an affordable brand like Everlane or Uniqlo, then when you find a designer piece you want to splurge on, it’s adding to your wardrobe instead of taking the place of things you need.

You can also find dupes of things that come out later but were clearly modeled after the designer piece. I really wanted these Prada pumps that I later saw for sale on the Steve Madden site.

When you buy something new, shop your closet to see what outfits you can make with it. If it goes with nothing, maybe it’s not for you. It will just sit in your closet. On the other hand it may bring to life something else that’s sitting in your closet.
