I used to rewatch Yi Yi once a month, now I’m waiting a couple years just so I can feel like I’m watching it again for the first time. No other film or piece of art has had such a big impact on me as this film.

Yi Yi and One and Two I did watch 25 years ago in a shabby Berlin cinema almost alone because I heard about it from friends coming from Cannes this summer. I cried maybe for the last time in a cinema without any restraint almost wailing. Beautiful and important film
