My daughter was three points of a A in history, we had it remarked and her score went up by 7 marks. She would have lost out on her place at UCL if we hadn’t gone for a remark. I am still baffled as to how this happened?

I’m 1 mark off an A in psych and 1 mark off an A* in drama. I think I’m going to go for it because my A*AB could become an A*AA or even A*A*A which would make me so happy.

I wish people, especially teachers, would stop using the word ‘remark’. As you say, this is not what happens and it gives students false hope. As you say, papers *must* be carefully looked at first.

OCR seemed to make many mistakes this year in the papers. My son got surprisingly low marks and is so disappointed.

can I ask for my papers back even if I don't want them for any reason other than I want to see them? I want to know what the examiner thought of my English papers because I got 2 grades above what I expected, but I'm kind of scared that if I ask for them back they'll realise that they made a mistake 😭😂

what if an exam board messed up your paper, you asked for special consideration, got denied bc you should've been prepared and despite your school agreeing that they didn't prepare you, the exam board won't do anything

My psychology teacher viewed my papers and said that the examiner was quite harsh and also didn’t award me any mark when I made valid points but they are skeptical about me getting a remark because I was 20 marks off but it seemed like only parts of my answers were marked
