This is considered one of most accurate depiction of true events. In fact! When they were reaching for the film they were interviewing Japanese’s soldiers and multiple times Japanese’s men said their pew pews jammed when they went to shoot. They didn’t include this because it would make it look unrealistic. I absolutely love this movie !

and that Smitty and him was each other's first good friend but Smitty died, and he was the last person Smitty saw and talked to saying " I'm scared" and even thi Ssmitty's already dead he still carried him down.
