I got into it with a parent over the dorm room our daughters were sharing. They got there first & told us to wait outside. I pushed my way in & my daughter & 2 sisters came in the room & told them to decide the room evenly & we could care less about the rest. The mom started & so did I. My daughter was given her own room for the rest of the semester because the other girl was removed from that room immediately.

I know exactly how this feels, when my youngest daughter showed up to her dorm room her roommate had already arrived and instead of choosing a side of the room, she decided to sit up across the window towards the back of the room. This left my daughter to set up at the front of the room close to the door with no window and her roommate having to pass through her part every time she entered or left the room! SMH and her parents helped her set up this way, instead of being considerate and sharing the space equally.

ngl everyone’s over reacting… yes there was stuff all over the room but she hasn’t unpacked yet… i had 3 cars full and guess what? once i unpacked and put everything where it goes i only used up MY side, plus yall don’t know if she also got things for her and her roommate to share.

Tbh I think she got way too much hate. I brought a lot of stuff my freshman year college… So much so that I was like how am I gonna fit this all. But, under bed storage, closet/drawers, and organization is key. Do I think she went away overboard and some of that stuff is gonna have to go home with Mom and Dad? Absolutely

Don’t get the whole room sharing at American colleges. In Australia if you live on campus you get your own room. You just share bathroom and kitchen

I’m not sure why ppl are up in arms. The other girl wasn’t even there yet and ALL her stuff fit in there with no issues. Y’all act like she’s not going to be LIVING there! And I’m sure they were joking. Y’all are mad that she isn’t poor???

You gotta find the one with the mom defending her son taking a dresser and desk when space is for 3 of them she does not care about shared space and compromises. Sadly we never get to see the roommates perspective later.

that's why I could never be in a dorm! when I moved into my house one room gets completely filled with all my stuff! (not even the big stuff just the boxes and bags 😭 and it's like a room larger than 4*4m fully packed with my stuff)
