@tythegardenguy: You won’t believe the reason… that pawpaw and peach trees make for perfect #perennialpairings ‼️ Here’s a hint: 💡 It has everything to do with their lifecycle and the need for pawpaw saplings to grow in the shade for the first couple years (underneath a peach tree canopy is perfect) … and it’s a great example of perennial intercropping, and a form of #companionplanting The long taproots of pawpaws work seamlessly with the sprawling, shallow root system stone fruits (like peach trees) create.
