@leskovichforfl: Eliminating property taxes is a great political talking point. I hope that the Florida Legislature can find a way or avenues to help reduce property taxes. #LetsGoLesko #BelieveWithSteve #MovingFloridaForward #FloridaFirst #PropertyRights #NoMorePropertyTax #TaxRelief #RuleOfLaw #FloridaPolitics #KeepFloridaStrong #EconomicFreedom #DefendFreedom #PropertyOwnersRights #ReducePropertyTax #ConstitutionalConservative
Most property in the US is owned by huge private equity firms. This would overwhelmingly benefit the ruling class.

just one more thing that will benefit the large companies who own massive amounts of properties. because it's not like they will be living in those areas impacted by the reduction of property taxes

Did you want a road, water and electricity to go to your house? Do you wants schools to send your children to? I don’t trust a charity fraudster with my tax money. Go away Casey and Ron DeSantis and go to jail for charity fraud.

If they were to do that, how the hell are they going to run a state budget with the lost revenue. They’d have to make it somewhere else probably sales tax, which is far more regressive.

So the state has more power over local infrastructure, schools, and other projects? No thanks. If you want property tax reform, that's a local government issue.

I don’t see this going anywhere. They might approve a small rebate at the state level but the counties control property taxes. The state would need to drastically increase local option sales taxes to cover it and residents would be leery to pass.

He will then ask the U.S. goverment to subsidize the fiscal deficit and then talk negatively about social programs as some kind of hand out… guaranteed. Or expect local taxes to increase and make up the difference…

Well the money has to come from somewhere and they’d likely increase sales tax. So instead of corporations paying, the burden would shift to the middle class.
