Triple Hybrid Dumbbell Bench Press... this is the PERFECT bench press rep for chest building...optimal, if you will ;).  This setup combines accommodating and directional resistance into one completely insane exercise...that LIGHTS UP the chest like nothing else you've ever felt. If you don't have chains, you can just do the dumbbell press combined with cables and get 90% of the effect. You can use bands instead of cables as well. I just went a bit nuts and added chains for fun to see what would happen (awesomeness is what happened). Here's how it works... 1. Flat Dumbbell Bench Press - the strength curve of this exercise is weaker at the bottom (with more tension on the chest) and stronger as you press to the top (but less tension on the chest). There is very little inwards resistance for strong pec contraction at the top. 2. Cable Flyes - the strength curve of this exercise is very little tension at the bottom but strong inwards tension as you come to the top, bringing the hands together. This gives you strong pec contraction at the top. 3. Chains - these provide accommodating resistance.  As you press up, more links come off the ground, adding to the vertical resistance. Put all together, they completely eliminate every weak point of the exercise and every point where normally your pecs might get a break in tension. It's just brutal. I'm pressing 105 lb dumbbells. I'm using a pair of ankle straps to attach the cables onto my wrists and I've got 30 lbs on the cable weight stacks. The full chains weigh about 40 lbs each, but I'm not lifting a ton of links off the floor, so likely I'm adding maybe 10-15 lbs of resistance on each side towards the top...which doesn't sound like much until you're also adding in the inwards resistance of the cables. The amount of constant mechanical tension this puts on the chest is absolutely incredible. For real...if you don't have chains, try it with the cables or with bands and see how it feels.
