We're taking control of our destiny, and we're going to become an even stronger, more agile and more profitable UPS. As we continue this journey, were offering select members of our operations management team in our small package operations a generous financial package to voluntarily leave the company.
When it's happening: On Aug. 22, eligible UPSers will be notified that they can apply between Aug. 26 and Sept. 9. Separation dates will be between Sept. 30, 2025 and July 31, 2026.

the buyout is for the 30+year vets who were already contemplating retirement. the 40 year vet who retired 6 months ago got no buyout. greed runs unions, unions run companies... into the ground

Mainly for the expensive old timers. They go into feeders and they never leave. Then they get 5 years until the new guy tops out. Ups gets cheap labor for a couple of years.

The 9.5 rights next contract need to read as “the 3 longest worked days of the work week can not average out to over 9.5 hours of work.” This would eliminate them dispatching two days a week of ridiculous overtime to save 9.5 grievances.

UPS needs to #1 put the maps back in the diad, 2# put in more routes to bring the actual paid day for the members to 8hrs worked not paid day. if they want to save money elimination of the OT will save hundreds of thousands a day throughout the corporation. There is more to it than that but thats basically the jist of it.
