Because I never thought about having a healthy relationship. I just looked at it as getting my "rocks off", as just having sex. This was probably ingrained into me subconsciously by my father always haggling my mother for sex and using it as blackmail. Talk about fucked up. Difference between my pops and myself is I am aware, recognize and willing to make changes as I have been and to work on clearing out baggage that doesn't need to ride into the next relationship.
