So sad that they were fighting so hard not to be taken that they were being killed instead just so the enslavers could take the rest, but I guess that means that was accepted at the time. 💀 Slavery is old, yes, but not the kind of slavery that happened during colonialism. People were slaves to pay off their debts. They weren’t ripped away from their families and forced into it after owning nothing to the slave owners.
