💯 There has to be a balance. I let my kids be kids, but it’s not every day that we eat junk! Health is WEALTH. ✨

ALSO. What happened to “fed is best”?! We legit just adorn women for formula feeding instead of encouraging nursing and then all of a sudden that goes out the window when we see moms buy junk food…

We never had soda or chips and I was always jealous of other kids but not as a mom I get it.

I CAN MAKE ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN from scratch organic clean grass fed blah blah. My teenager will go on a hunger strike before he eats. Sometimes the frozen pizza is better than starvation.

I love that your mom said “it is my job to set you up for success!” As a mother myself now I completely agree, health is wealth!

F the diet. The real amazement is that she took the time to explain and help you understand her perspective and intentions 💖

W mom! This is exactly how I try to be with my kids - we allow stuff from time to time but definitely prioritize healthy living/eating.

My mom cooked all the time and a lot of homemade. That’s how I am now in my thirties lol so I get why she did that now.

we are in our 30s+ trying to heal from gut issues, autoimmune/hormonal disorders because of all of those processed foods. my kids don’t eat that shit often. we literally have the highest colon cancer rates ever, parents should try to care

Yes I used to be so mad at the fact that we never had any juice and if we did it would only be like 1 bottle for a household of 7 😭😭but now I’m so thankful cause I literally could careless about juice or soda and all I drink is water

Girl it’s brutal out here. I was raised with some really distorted eating habits and I fight against them every day. I wish I enjoyed healthy foods and knew how to prepare them properly

I had the exact same feeling. We had a garden(I hated going and having to shuck corn, snap beens , etc..,) now I’m so thankful. I was jealous of kids that got to eat school lunch everyday, my mom made my lunch everyday k-12th grade🥹 we only got ‘sugar cereal’(cinnamon toast crunch) on special occasions

Yes! We would occasionally have fun treats but we didn’t keep it in the house regularly. Those kids are gonna have to fix their relationship with food and learn to eat healthy as adults
