NOT ALWAYS. it's not always fungus. it's often sunburn (speacially on face) and lack of melanin which makes you tan less at some body areas. fungus is only if it stays the same shape, but if it peels off it's just a sunburn.

Oh yeah I get this in the summer. My derm told me to use head and shoulders shampoo (the dark blue bottle. I think it’s like extra strength or something) as a body wash. It clears up in no time. But what’s weird is it’s on the areas that don’t get sun like my lower back.
