I’m actually fearful of the this generation of kids growing up. Please parents teach your children about black history at home. When I was 3, and 4 my dad would read to me books about black history I’m now 26 still remember. So don’t think you can’t teach them these things at home

After Christopher Columbus’s third voyage from 1498–1500, reports of his brutality, enslavement, and mismanagement in Hispaniola reached Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand. Spanish officials accused him of excessive cruelty toward both Indigenous people and Spanish colonists, as well as corruption in governance. In 1500, the monarchs sent Francisco de Bobadilla to investigate. Bobadilla arrested Columbus, placed him in chains, and had him shipped back to Spain as a prisoner. While Queen Isabella ordered his release upon arrival and restored some honors, she never reinstated him as governor of the Indies. This effectively stripped him of political power, though he was later allowed to make a final voyage in 1502 as a private mariner, not as a royal administrator.
