Danh Võ (born 1975 in Bà Rịa, Vietnam) is a Vietnamese-Danish conceptual artist whose work intricately weaves personal history, collective memory, and global politics. Fleeing Vietnam as a refugee at the age of four and raised in Denmark, Võ channels that experience into installations made from found objects documents, photographs, and historical artifacts that probe themes of identity, belonging, colonialism, and power. His celebrated project We The People (2010–2014), a fragmented full-scale replica of the Statue of Liberty, and intimate works like 2.02.1861, which features a letter painstakingly transcribed by his father, exemplify his poetic fusion of the personal and political.
