That 96 with hopper topper would be beast mode compared to the 860. They are pretty simple combines too. Less moving parts then the 860.

I never understood the hate 3208's get. We have a 2255 Oliver and 4-210 White with them and have never had a failure. I always heard lugging them down is what kills them so just keep them wound out. 3k hours on the one in the White and I had it open when it was out for a hydra power. Rolled a set of bearings in as recommended service but the old were still fine

Those 8780xp’s are actually physically the same combine 9690 so the same as @ckfarmz but it had the 8780 cab on it kinda of a weird transition combine works well. Stupid simple which is a plus. We wanted auto steer in a 8780xp well they don’t make a kit but if you buy one for a 9690 it bolts right up

Highly recommend an 8780xp if you’re ever looking to step into a different combine. Had one for years and it was exceptional. Super simple and reliable machines.

I have three trs for parts and one good runner for the field all with v8s i also have two spare v8s sitting in the yard … only think i cant actually seem to kill around here because i havent had to touch one yet .. also have a tr96 with that rare 7.8 ford engine .. plenty of power in that aswell and sounds nice .. already trying to figure out what im going to swap it too when the rest if the tr is clapped out

3208 turbo was also in a tr96 and that ford engine is a 7.8 which is not a genesis engine. genesis engines only have 1 fuel filter not 2

v8 I believe ended late 80s the 96s are the 7.8 as mentioned above good engines
