hi, I was raised in Holly Ridge/Delhi... we never wanted Meta there. The older generation is selling their homes because of how much traffic and wrecks have been done near the site. Meta is buying the farm lands and Holly Ridge is predominantly farm land. This will also kill the huge small business industry we have. it's going to bring in more and more corporations to cater to these hundreds of workers. the farm land bought next to my grandmother's is going to house 71 trailers. she's considering selling the house that's been in our family for YEARS. Small town Delhi is going to change drastically and possibly bring in more crime due to the vast amount of over population. Rayville will be worse. Monroe is already the country's number one crime city. This would also take away jobs from our locals. the majority of our graduates aren't going into computer sciences unless they are moving out of state. this is a farming community. again, we NEVER wanted Meta to happen and we should had been able to vote on this, not have it forced on us. Zuckerberg can tear down his mansion if he wants one built.
