Yes!! We’re all on a journey but I think the word “journey” has been used to stay still and comfortable without feeling guilt. The journey means moving closer to a destination, not building a home and settling in the same spot for year and years and years. I used to do this and I realized I was lying to myself and that is what shaytan wants u to keep doing till u die

recently I attended a talk by imam omar suleiman and he mentioned something similar–we easily set goals and timelines for ourselves in terms of work, fitness, money etc but rarely set goals relating to our deen, like aiming to finish the qur'an or praying all our sunnahs. good reminder not to get too caught up in worldly affairs. may Allah swt ease everyone's journeys

this was such an important reminder for me. ive been telling myself I'm on a journey for multiple islamic achievements, but for some I feel I haven't done enough. truly, our Rabb wants to help us but He wants us to make sincere effort. JazakAllah ❤️

For years I’ve tried to make simple changes like just read a page of Quran a day, and I couldn’t ever do it. Alhamdullilah ever since a month I decided to write it down on a planner (which I never did before) and I’ve been consistent now and it feels like a habit. SubhanAllah feels redeeming seeing this now, you mentioned the same thing.

Also a reminder bc i see this a lot ppl misconstrue shaming and judging. Shaming isnt allowed/ is discouraged but we judge by whats apparent as Umar ibn al-Khattab RA said, “Verily, people were judged by revelation in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the revelation has ceased. We only judge now what is manifested outwardly of your deeds. Whoever shows us good, we will trust him and bring him close. It is not for us to judge anything of his inner secrets. Allah will hold him accountable for his inner secrets. Whoever shows us evil, we will never trust him or believe him even if it is said his intentions are good.” We must enjoin good and forbid evil as it’s our duty. If we care about our Muslim brothers and sisters we must remind each other and help each other get to jannah. May Allah make it easy on us and keep us steadfast Allahumma ameen.

i’ve been watching your videos recently and i just have to thank you. a lot of people nowadays don’t want to hear the truth. Your videos are a good reminder of what we’re even in this dunya for. I’m currently working towards the goal of memorizing half the quran (almost done😁) and wallahi my life has never been better. I’ve changed in so many amazing ways and learned so many things. My eyes have literally opened and i pray the Allah swt makes everything easier for us.

I think a lot of people wait for switch to happen overnight and use that to not make effort towards an obligation. For non obligatory in some communities fulfilling the obligations is enough and there’s no incentive or support for growth which makes you feel content about where you are
