Yes, my son goes to school full time and still has ABA after. He also has Speech at school, and another session of Speech outside of school and also Occupational. We’re busy everyday!🥺

What if your child is doing great at preschool and then ABA calls for a spot? My heart says keep her in school. We do speech and OT outside. It’s only 1/2 preschool.

Keys words tho f they put in iep a lot of schools don’t allow outside company’s in to give the child services and it can really hard to get them to agree to miss half day school to go to Aba especially oneve they hit kindergarten

Yes, this was a hard choice for me to make and initially I was very sad about it but now I know that I made the best choice for my son to continue an ABA instead of starting kindergarten because he’s making so much progress and the school district I’m in now would not have been able to provide what he’s getting in ABA

hi, im new to all of this. my 4yo daughter diagnosed with autism. we are skipping preschool this year. I have questions hoping you can help! is aba free service? ot and speech at school, where do I apply for it for kindergarten? at school, do they require parent to be there with the child the whole day, watch them? Will the child be in class with normal kiddos?

Regional center told me that can not pay ABA in the school only at home. School told me he can not be late for school.

My school district told us he can’t do both and that his ot and speech are like “tutoring” and it’s our choice to have him do outside services. I’ve reported the head of special services and am fighting them. Not all schools want children to succeed.

Head start and ot once a week for my almost 2 year old then aba and prek once he’s 3 and 4 hopefully by then he’s ready for big boy kindergarten

Your kids need the ABA therapy, as a special education teacher I 100% advise you to keep them in ABA. They learn so much more in ABA, we are in a classroom with several other special needs students and they do not get the attention they need or deserve!

wow , I said this in The IEP meeting and they said that he couldn't go to ABA and like skip days or separate the day because it would go to truancy. Said kindergarten is mandatory.
