Many of the white pop girlies have horrifically racist fan bases unfortunately. The fans also don’t listen to music like that, just their faves and that’s it. That’s why they’re so obsessed with sales and streaming numbers, it’s only about the competition for them.

Not the exact same phenomenon but I feel like Tyler the creator has this sort of issue with his white fan base. I remember him mentioning that there’s only 6 black ppl in the crowd of his concert when I went lol. Lil yachty opened as well and my bf was genuinely annoyed that the people around us didn’t really care? He was telling me about how Tyler fans aren’t as in tune with hip hop/rap culture and esp with his newest album

To be fair Ari has been collabing with black legends, and black artists since her first album and those songs were received well. She was called Mini Mariah at the start of her career so it was always known who her inspirations were by fans. Whereas Sabrina I don’t think any regular fans who enjoy her music would know. I didn’t. I thought her inspirations were Dolly Parton and Taylor Swift.
