@laura_where_she_lands: First stop on our Dolomites hut-to-hut hike, Rifugio Averau. This was easily the most comfortable hut we stayed in, with hot showers, towels, great food, and the best overall atmosphere. They have both dorms and private rooms. I stayed in the dorm for about $85 a night, which included breakfast and dinner. The hut sits at around 2,400 meters with incredible views of Civetta, Marmolada, Tofana di Rozes, and the Cinque Torri. You can hike up from the valley or take a chair lift most of the way and walk the last stretch.
