It’s like the rule of no elbows on the table. Nobody really knows why it’s considered disrespectful so they just go with it. Doesn’t make sense just cause “that’s how it’s always been”

I was told it was so they can see your face on the cameras. It’s a safety thing in case of any lockdowns or safety threats I guess

As a teacher I don’t care. Especially because some kids have insecurities and that hat might be what’s helping them have the confidence to participate.

Teacher here. We got rid of that ancient rule. So long as there isn’t anything appropriate on it, hats are allowed.

As a teacher, I DO 👏 NOT 👏 CARE 👏 if my students wear a normal hat. Or a hood. But I teach elementary school and also it’s in our student handbook.

Teacher here. Our school wants to be able to identify kids in the hallway, past the hallway it is up to teacher discretion in the classroom.

The whole point of a hat was to protect you from the sun, or weather. You don't need it inside. It's like wearing your sunglasses inside.
