@tchaoskin: this is a sunscreen I used to love, use and recommend — it never used to trigger my fungal acne or give me skin texture however, earlier this year, one of my friends gifted me a bottle of this sunscreen after telling me it broke her out. she had purchased it directly from the skin1004 website end of 2024. it ended up giving me a horrible fungal acne breakout — I was confused because I never had issues with it previously at first, I suspected it was where she bought it from so I made a purchase for a 2 pack of this spf from olive young in April 2025. upon opening my first bottle, I immediately noticed a few changes. the texture was completely different. it wasn’t as lightweight and serum-like as I remembered. it also took more longer to blend in and left more of a residue on the skin. however, it did feel more hydrating as a result compared to the previous formula however, by the second and third week of using this, you can tell by my pictures, it started to give me a fungal acne flare up on my cheeks and forehead. it also clogged the pores on my chin (I didn’t get a good picture) one of my followers on TT kindly shared pictures of how the ingredients have changed from last year vs this year. honestly I have no idea when the brand made the formula change but the INCI are noticeably different. not only is the amount of centella different but the order of ingredients have changed. INCI lists are listed from highest concentration to lowest, which means that even a simple rearrangement of ingredients on a INCI list can infer that there’s been a substantial difference in formulation I want to make it clear olive young is not at fault. they are still reliable. if a brand changes a formula, that change reflects with every online retailer including yesstyle, stylevana, etc if you’re not clog prone / fungal acne prone, this formulation change may not affect your skin as much as it did for me. but I’m still deeply disappointed the brand chose not to disclose formula changes publicly to its consumers — consumers should not have to figure this out on their own #skin1004 #skin1004sunserum #koreansunscreen #kbeautyskincare #kbeautyreview
