Most of the problems with the 6.7 in my opinion is the total lack of maintenance.

The cp4 is not really trash. It’s the US diesel that’s trash. You run an additive and they last way longer. Got one in my stall rn with 520k on the odo, stock fuel system. Runs an additive. I can count on 1 hand, warrantable failures that were not INDUCED by fuel quality/contamination in the last 7 years. Usually if they are going to fail due to anything other than fuel quality, it happens at a pretty low mile, and always in warranty. And that boils to a qc control of the pump build.

I completely understand L5P’s have their issues but it’s kinda comical you make a post saying the 6.7’s are so much better and then go on to tell us how pretty much all of the 6.7 is trash😅😂

We've had 8 Ford 6.7s in our fleet all different years with no cp4 failures. Keep fuel filters changed and fill up at truck stops with good fuel.

I've had my ford diesel tech tell me there's nothing wrong with the cp4 doijg routine maintenance, and every other diesel in the world using the same Bosch cp4 pump

What would cause a 21 6.7 run super high while idling?? It will smoke when it does it and the. Touch the brakes and it drops back down?

One thing I see a lot of people never mention is go to your local dealer and get an oasis report before buying. Never been charged for one and can tell you a lot about the history of the truck
