@acowolcott: Sadly this is such a common occurrence here in Fresno County. I found this little guy right near our shelter, in 100 degree weather, just waiting on the side of the road with his bowls and bed. Besides financial hardships (at fault or not at fault), I notice most people don’t research breeds before getting a dog. Noticing many dogs are abandoned or put in a shelter because personalities don’t match. An example: energetic breeds in a lazy home increases stress for both animal & bums.

My dog died in November of last year, and was often mistaken as a chihuahua (mini pincher). I just don’t understand how someone could do this to their animal. I would cry if I found out my Jazzy was abandoned while I was elsewhere. I cherished that girl until the very end, I don’t get how someone would do something like this ☹️
