This was a lake until a few days ago when it had a G.L.O.F. event and drained…you can actually see the water escape point in the lower left part of this video. This is quite a common occurrence and happens to many glacier lakes. Most of them go unnoticed like this one as they are in uninhabited places, but the event that happens annually in Juneau, Alaska is unique in that it affects infrastructure and community. Glad to see everyone is well and good after the event in Juneau, and that the barriers helped, although the bridge will need some work.🙏
