The majority of South Africans are confused. coloured people are not the first nation of South Africa. They’re a recent population formed in the last few centuries from Bantu-speaking Africans, Khoi-San Africans, Europeans and Asians. Having Khoi-San ancestry doesn’t make you the first nation, especially when Xhosa and Tswana also carry the Khoi-San DNA. The true first nation are the Khoi and San themselves, whose lineages go back tens of thousands of years, and whose DNA haplogroups are completely different from the mixed haplogroups found in coloured people. 💁🏼♂️
