cats in general prefer men. our lower voices are more tolerable to their ears. our bodies tend to be warmer. we typically have less fragrances on us (women have too many in lotions, shampoos, perfume etc) and thats better for their noses. there's various other reasons

I can explain this. Cats are very smart they know that humans will sometimes put down their pets over relatively small things. So what they’re doing is showing affection to the ones they feel are the strongest because they’ll be the most likely one to make that decision and the cats are trying to make it really hard to make that choice.
