Lawsuits like this are why I'm never gonna attempt to save anyone. Choking, OK. Drowning, OK. having a heart attack, OK. got hit by a car, ok. I'm not gonna risk getting sued for trying to save someone's life. I'll call 911 before I try to save someone's life with my own hands.

This is exactly why the Good Samaritan act was invented. If someone was certified to perform First aid and CPR, they were legally required to do so. And if any harm came to the person they were saving, they were legally held liable and sued for it. So people stopped learning first aid to protect themselves. They had to implement the Good Samaritan act to protect people who were helping save lives.

why was the kid that far from the parents? Most pools, even if a lifeguard is on duty, have a rule that parents have to stay close enough to their children to be able to see them at all times.

If this video is of Adam's rescue; I am counting more than 8 people in the water. OK, there may have been only 8 children in the water, but I am also seeing at least 20 - 30 other people in the water as well. As a lifeguard, his job description would be to watch and oversee the safety of ALL users in the whole waterpark. It's not just children who drown in swimming pools and waterparks. I'll ask again why isn't management in the dock with Zackary?
