Not difficult and you might find a local fabric store near by that offer a sewing class. We have one here where I'm from that offer all sorts of sewing classes ☺️

They have hemming iron tape! That’s how I got into basic alterations. Started the “lazy way” then eventually started using thread and needle. I still use the tape though sometimes!

You will love it, try it out. Walmart has a cheap sewing machine for under $100 and it’s a great starter machine. You can learn from TT videos or YouTube and you will be amazed at what you can do. You can thrift great materials and create the designs of your dreams!

I’m a thrifter and can sew….its not hard! But in the meantime have you tried a stitch gun (stitchy)? You can roll everything up and then just tack them so they stay there lol. It’s not thread stitches, but micro tags like attach tags to clothes you buy.
