I always find cannulas/Blood tests much better because it’s just under the skin and not into a muscle so you don’t get the horrible feeling of something being injected, it truly is a scratch and not a jab!

I was wondering about this, do you still feel taking the infusions you still have the numbness or tingling as much? Or do you think the infusions have calmed a lot of the symptoms down over time? Also wondering if when on the drip are you allowed people to come up with you or is that a no?

I am terrified of needles but I met the best nurse who is also phlebotomist and she’s so good and kind and trying so hard to show me that there’s nothing to be scared of, but at least I’m still terrified of needles. And when it comes to needles I only trust her to poke me cause when she’s doing it, it doesn’t hurts that bad. ❤️🩹

I use to be scared of needles etc and now I like to watch how they do it and have a giggle with some nurses and docs as have hidden vains. PICC Line was a total different felling and was on painful side but calmed down after so long

I had to have an emergency cannula fitted with iv antibiotics immediately. I was so scared but the doctor wasn't messing around, he goes it'll feel like a mosquito bite. I said I've never been bitten by a mosquito. He puts the needle in and goes see mosquito bite, wasn't me that hurt you 😂
