I don’t know why it’s called grieving. It should be called never ending pain.

You’re not torturing yourself — you’re tending to the wound. Sometimes we need to touch that place of deep grief and longing, because if we never let it out, it stays trapped in our bodies and weighs us down in ways we may not even see. I do this too, often. It’s not about self-harm, it’s about giving our grief space to move, breathe, and be felt. Sending you so much love.

I'm not a mom so I can't totally understand your grief but I have lost way too many. I lost my lil brother the same way you lost your sweet boy so that part I can really relate.. Music was how I felt like my feelings were valid I guess? Idk but it helped me process my feelings for sure. Now I try to listen to my upbeat playlist & every now & then I'll listen to one of the sad ones & it doesn't hurt "quite" as bad.. still hurts but I know they're with me. Hope this helps! Love you girlie! 🙏💜🫂

I listen to sad music in English and Spanish. I lost mom 2 years ago and sometimes happy music makes me cry thinking oh... mom loved this song.

I think each of us has our own way. My husband does what you are speaking about. I try to avoid all of the music my son used to love. We all do what we need to do in order to cope. Continued prayers for you 🙏

yes its normal! I look for my mum on my Facebook memories every day and I think about her and cry every day! its been almost 2 years and my loved ones say im torturing myself but its because we miss them so much and cling onto anything that reminds us of them.🥰

We should be crying! Whatever it takes to make us feel it is instead of avoiding it ❤️I had to learn how to control it while I was at work, as best I could. but then I found myself controlling it when I was alone too. Im back to crying everyday again. Its hard but needs happen. 💔

Lost our daughter Jennifer in 2014, all sad songs made me cry. Irony know if I did it on purpose. But I teared up a lot. Grief does get lighter…the longing and wondering what my daughter would be like today is always a sadness

I do! I feel my husband speaks to me through music. Certain songs that were special come on right when I need them.
