@bellaskitchen25: Moussaka 🔥🧡 Ingredients For the meat sauce • 800 g ground beef • 2 medium onions, finely chopped • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 3 tbsp olive oil • 400 g canned chopped tomatoes • 2 tbsp tomato paste • 1 tsp ground cinnamon • 1,3 tsp red chili powder • 2,5 tsp salt (adjust to taste) • 1 tsp black pepper For the vegetables • 2 large eggplants • 2 large potatoes peeled • vegetable oil ( sunflower oil) for frying • Salt For the béchamel sauce • 70 g butter • 70 g all-purpose flour • 750 ml whole milk • A pinch of nutmeg • 2 eggs, beaten • 90 g Goada Method 🍆🥔1. Prepare the vegetables 1. Slice eggplants lengthwise into ~1 cm thick slices. Sprinkle with salt and let sit 30 min to draw out bitterness. Pat dry. 2. Peel and slice potatoes into 5 mm–1 cm rounds. 3. fry the slices in oil until golden and Set aside. 🥩2. Make the meat sauce 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add onions and cook until soft. 2. Stir in garlic, cook briefly. 3. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed. 4. Add tomato paste chopped tomatoes, cinnamon,salt, and pepper. 5. In low heat 20-25min until thickened. 🥛 3. Make the béchamel sauce 1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. 2. Stir in flour, cook 1 min to form a roux. 3. Gradually whisk milk and Seasoning until smooth and thickened. 4. Let cool slightly, then whisk in beaten eggs and half the cheese. 4. Assemble 1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (355 °F). 2. Grease a large baking dish. 3. Layer potatoes on the bottom. 4. Add eggplant. 5. Spread all the meat sauce evenly. 6. Pour béchamel over the top and spread evenly. 7. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. 5. Bake • Bake 45–50 min until golden and bubbling. • Let rest 30 min before slicing (so it holds together). Καλή όρεξη! A couple of tips: you can bake the aubergines instead of frying them (makes the dish lighter but still keeps the shape and authenticity). Not too much liquid in the beef mince sauce - Once the mince sauce is cooled stir in a lightly beaten egg white - it will help keep the sauce tighter as you cut to serve - enjoy x ❤️❤️❤️
