The dad and mom here have it right. These comments are insane. If someone painted my sons fingernails I would lose it. I’m raising a heterosexual boy who will turn into a man. Men don’t paint their nails girly like that.

Why are they saying that he is having internal struggle because of nail polish.. Like they sound like they’re forcing it on him and putting the ideas into his head and then making it “internal struggle”…. My son wanted his nails painted all the time growing up because it was cool colors.. He’s a straight male. He’s 14 now and still paints his nails if he chooses. But never once was it because of anything “internal”.

these day cares and schools have different activities for children to do and I don't understand why painting nails is an activity when they should have toys for boys and girls, movies, games or teach early education I don't believe a day care should be putting nail polish or makeup on children that don't belong to them. my opinion

my son who is ALL BOY sees me paint my nails and has asked me to paint his. I said well do you ever see dad with his nails painted. it's more of a girl thing. I painted one of his nails to appease him but I don't want ppl painting my sons nails. I don't know if it's that serious but I totally get that it's not their place

Even if it had been a girl I would be upset. I was taught you don’t wear nail polish until you are old enough. Just another reason people will start homeschooling.

feel sad if he turns out to be gay. he will hate himself and you. the sexy, very straight, not white male director of the ER went and had a pedicure and nails done with me. I know plenty of straight men who have painted it. you are teaching him to not accept it if you tell him he's not allowed to even if he wants to. what you are teaching him is to hate but to do it with a smile.
