Guys- Goofy murdered his wife. Back in the 40's Goofy was named George, Max was Junior and they lived with his wife in a nice suburban home. During the episode regarding George taking care of the errands around the house, the milkman came to the door, and when opening the door, he kissed George- assuming it was his wife. In the moment he didnt react, since there was turmoil around them, but after the episode ends, George confronts her. Things get heated and he ends up taking her life. To escape it all, George takes Junior and makes a new life for themselves- repressing the memories of his past life and behavior under an aloof and silly persona, he renamed himself Goofy and changes Juniors name to Max to clean the entire slate. The years go by, Goofy tries his hand at many jobs and professions as seen in various Goofy shorts, including professional skiier and handyman- and eventually they enter a new residential neighborhood- a new life together. Thus begins Goof Troop, and the Goofy we all know and love today- who is really just concealing a very dark secret.

She cheated on him with the milk man and he found out in their anniversary when he was trying to take care of the house for her. Disney tried to retcon that but I enjoy the old cartoons and I will NOT forget.

I've always said Jessica in my mind might have had a twin that chose to be out of the spotlight (really did not like the attention) and that's why we never see her face because she'd requested not to be seen, Max was a toddler in the Father's are people too shorts and she was still seen so I think something happened between then and when we see Young Max in that Christmas short, Jessica's always had something of a jab at her brother in law which is where the comment came from her and her sister were always poking at each other's husband's.
