@abigailkatepais: THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND ‼️📝 This clay lasts for about a few weeks if stored appropriately: 1) Store in a cool, dry place - warm temperatures will cause it to mould & and become unsafe. - After a week, you can place it in the refrigerator to extend its life (it lasts for a few weeks for me) - pay attention to the smell and look of it; if it starts to stink or looks bad, dispose it. 2) Do not fill your blender to the top with paper; it will be difficult to blend & won't blend evenly. 3) Take breaks inbetween, whether you're using a hand blender or a food processor, the motor will spoil if continuously used. 4) DO NOT use the same blender for your food! 5) if you don't separate the clumps after straining - during the kneading process, the glue & flour won't properly incorporate with the pulp, leaving sections of clay dry (it will just be paper in those areas as the glue and flour won't combine into balls of pulp.) 6) If your pulp is too wet, you might have to add a lot of flour or glue to balance out the wetness - if it's dry, it will be difficult to separate clumps & combine the pulp with other ingredients. 7) Powder paint is more pigmented than acrylic paint, which can also have higher water content, requiring more flour, which will take away the intensity of colour once again. 8) If using powdered pigment, don't add as much flour into your mixture as the powder will compensate for it. 9) Acrylic paint works if this is your only option, but be mindful of the ratios; add it gradually & be ready to use a lot of paint. 10) This is a messy process & once the clay hardens on surfaces like your table, it can be quite difficult to clean off, so make sure to tidy your space right after when it's still wet. Be prepared like you are when cooking! Buy enough ingredients &/or have them readily available, especially if it's your first time! Keep trying if you don't succeed at first, it gets better with practice :) #art #artist #fyp #foryou #foryoupage

Have you tried it D3 waterproof wood glue? I used that for almost anyting, the result is strong, and lasts. But if it would work with this recipe needs to be tested. (I saved this post so I can can back if I make that experiment😅)

this is an amazing breakdown of the steps. as an older sculpter using pva glue for years- please wear gloves when mixing as I ended up with some really bad side effects of the chemicals most pva has in it over long term exposure. xxx
