actually, apples have a natural waxy coating, and they usually use a similar type of wax to coat them after harvest. it's not poisonous

Apples definitely don’t grow with wax on it. They spray them even organic ones. I worked in apple factory.

In this age of unprecedented technology and methods of communication we are bombarded with self-appointed gurus who claim truth and yet so many of their claims clash with each other. How can we tell which guru is right or wrong? How many of them are innocently incorrect and how many of them are full-out baloney peddlers? There's nothing at all wrong with wanting to know how the universe we all live in actually works and it's why we invented the awesome tool of science in the first place. To anyone genuinely interested in finding a way to cut through all the phoney baloney, I highly recommend Carl Sagan's Demon Haunted World: Science As A Candle In The Dark. The entire book is useful, even if you aren't scientifically trained but the chapter on sharpening the tools in your baloney detection kit is especially helpful. I wish you all the best, my fellow truth seekers.

Wrong. A four-digit code, starting with "3" or "4," signifies conventionally grown produce using synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. A five-digit code starting with "9" indicates the fruit was grown organically, while a five-digit code starting with "8" signals it is genetically modified (GMO).
