Damn, what an amazing doctor Jenn has. 27 years ago, my son needed emergency heart surgery at 3 weeks old. When I went to my postpartum 6 week check up, my doctor said “go to weight watchers”. Even knowing what went on with my son. Still pisses me off. 😡

As a post partum doula, recognizing the early signs of PPD is so important! I’m so glad the series is shining a light on it. It’s not just the baby blues, wich is “normal”, it’s deeper and more than that.

I wish my Dr. Babydoctor had asked these questions. I had horrible PPD and everyone told me it was just baby blues and normal. It took me a year before it clicked how bad it has been.
