In states where people use plate covers or tinted plate covers it is usually to try and get out of paying tolls. It’s quite common in New York State, but the most common offenders that have those plate covers on their license plates are those in law-enforcement and I’m talking their personal vehicles, which they are not legally allowed to have those on their personal vehicles But cops get special rules and special laws. They are the true sovereign citizens in this country. They don’t believe that the law applies to them because they have a badge they believe that they are special and above the law this is the problem that we have in policing it is being taught in the police Academy that you are better than the citizen and the citizen is always out to harm. You always treat the citizen like they are a threat. That is what the police are being trained to hand out tickets to take money from people and being trained that the citizen is a threat
