Fun fact! the reason Dalmatians are associated with firefighters is because the breed are traditionally horse companions that would run alongside carriages/coaches and keep the horses driving forward. fire "trucks" were originally horse drawn so it made sense to keep running dogs around to keep the horses running towards fires and stopping the horse from running away once at a site.
